Queering the Rules for Feminist Financing: A repeat session of the official event at the Financing for Feminist Futures 2025 Conference.

The SGP Breaking Gender/Sex Binaries Circle, was honored to present this session, Queering the Rules for Feminist Financing, at the recent Financing for Feminist Futures (F4FF) conference in Madrid in October 2025. As the conference was in-person only with limited space, this session will repeat the presentation delivered at F4FF and provide space to talk further about queering feminist financing, including follow-up reflections from the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4) in Seville in July 2025.

Our presenters Aparna Arora, Alma Aguilar Betancurt, Violeta Colman, and Bren Miaira Kutch will create space to: 1. understand the specific resourcing needs and challenges for LGBTQI+ rights within the broader funding landscape for gender equality; 2. unpack how these challenges are linked to the fractures within the feminist movements; and 3. understand how philanthropy in feminist financing can be more effective, equitable, and intersectional through collaboration and solidarity with LGBTQI+ people, who are also harmed by gender oppression. There will be space for questions and discussions around queering the feminist financing space as a whole, and how we can find power through solidarity in these difficult times.hashtag
